You alright? I’m not so bad.

Welcome to the once again relaunched tuestunim.com with sunset/rise graphics, rolling hills and torn-out notepaper effects.

You’ll see that I’ve got loads of categories on the right. The means I’ve written something about them since the blog was born. I’m going to try and get as many into this post as I can without being obscure.

Animals/Fish:
The fish tank’s still going, got a couple of Clown Loaches, a Plec, 4 Danios and a couple of Platies. None of our original 6 are still with us, unfortunately.

Beer etc.:
It was my birthday last week and I got bought 2 of those Heineken mini-kegs! How cool is that?! I’ve nearly finished one already. It’s very nice.

Car:
I’ve got a new car!!!! It’s a Ford Fiesta 1.4 and it’s blue.

Computer Gaming:
I can’t play Footy Manager anymore as my computer doesn’t agree with it. It’s not fair. Though I have got a Worms game for my Xbox which is good.

Darts:
I played 13 matches last season and only lost once. Team finished 3rd in the league and the season starts again on Wednesday.

F1:
I’ve got too much to say on this, wait ’til the next race!

Food:
I went fishing today and got 6 lovely pork pies for £1.50 in the market. I’ll be going there again.

Football:
Carlisle lost to Leeds today. United aren’t having the best of starts. More to come on this in the future as anyone’s who’s read this blog before will know.

Gadgets:
I’ve got a Sat Nav!

Golf:
Ryder Cup’s going on at the moment. Not made the best of starts but I’m sure we’ve got the players to turn it around. Though quite why Garcia and Westwood have been dropped for today I’ve got no idea.

Holiday:
Mine and Emma’s trip to the Lakes wasn’t snowy at all, we got really lucky. It’s rained almost every night but during the day we got away with it. We’re thinking of staying somewhere slightly less remote next time though!

Idoicy:
That car I mentioned earlier, some twat went into the back of the car behind me a couple of weeks ago which then cannoned into me. Took it to Ford today to get an estimate for the work that needs doing. They can replace the whole bloody car for all I care, I’m not playing for it!

Music:
I played drums at a wedding recently. We’d not rehearsed anywhere near enough really but we got away with it. One song I’d never played before even in rehearsal so that was interesting. Winged it though.

Sleep:
I had a dream last night that Carlisle’s left winger, simon Hackney, was sold to Woking for £10,000. I’m pleased that didn’t happen. Or at least IU don’t think it did, it was quite a vivid dream made all the more vivid that I dreamt I was sat up in bed reading it on the wap on my phone.

Work:
Well, that job I mentioned in Ckeckheaton, I got it and I’ve been working there since. I’m designing websites, making promotional e-mails and general computery stuff and it’s far better than my last job. Work’s never perfect but it’s a big improvement.

Well, that’ll do for now I think. Normal service will be resumed on the next post.

Thanks for reading.

Scott.

The blog is back!

Hello! Hope you’re all well.

I’ve just finished importing and categorizing all my old blog posts from Wordpress, Facebook and MySpace. I’ve got a load from 2002-2003ish somewhere so I might add those at some point. Unfortunately I can’t add the comments I received on other platforms so the only commented articles are from old Wordpress entries.

Enough of that.

Hope you like the design of the page. I’m not writing a full entry now cos I’m at work and can’t really get away with it here (unlike my last job!). I’ll do a full entry tonight.

Bye!

Scott.

Joblessness, Christmas & 25 feet of snow

Hello there.

I was made redundant a week or so ago given two weeks notice followed by a payment of two weeks wages. The company just hasn’t got the money to keep me on after the fire - mostly down to the fact that the building wasn’t insured.

I’ve been job hunting and doing my portfolio for the past week and have an interview tomorrow in Cleckheaton, between Huddersfield and Leeds. It’s closer than Bradford and it’s more money as well so you never know, it could all be a blessing in disguise!

I was offered a job in West London as well for some reason. A bloke phones me up, chatted for a while, asked when I was able to start then told me the job was about 250 miles drive away. Thanks! He sounded more disappointed than me though for some strange reason.

Anyway, back to my normal ramblings. I can’t really remember what I’ve already written about on here and can’t be bothered looking. Erm, it’s Christmas soon! That will do. I’m off down south for Christmas with Emma to stay with my Mum and Dad for a couple of days. There’s going to be 9 of us this year - the most I ever remember is 6 I think so it will be a bit different. Looking forward to it.

Yes that’s snow 400 yards from where we’re staying. Not a lot you may think - but this photo was taken in late March. Hmmm…
Me and Emma have booked a holiday to the Lake District. You might say ‘how lovely, the lake district’s a beautiful place’. Hopefully it will be even more beautiful covered in snow as we’re going in the third week in January. We must be mad! Looking forward to that too.

So there’s hopefully a new job, Christmas and a holiday. Things are looking up!

Darts update:
It was the pairs knockout last week. Me and my team-mate Mick (who used to work with my Dad down south, coincidentally) got through one round but lost in the decider. I didn’t really play all that well but wasn’t awful either. Got a normal league match tonight so the stats will come back after that.

Keep well,

Scott.

I’ve just remembered something

First of all, Arsenal 2 - 2 United - fair result I suppose. I’m happy with that. Listening to Leeds - Carlisle now. Come on Carlisle!

Right, a couple of years ago I worked for a company called AQA, answering questions that people had texted to the company for their researchers to answer. There was a question thrown my way which asked:

“Who will win the F1 championship this season and the next”.

I answered:

“Fernando Alonso will win this season and Kimi Raikkonen will win next season in a Ferrari”.

Now, not to blow my own trumpet or anything (well, ok, I am) I think that’s pretty impressive! Raikkonen didn’t even drive for Ferrari at the time so I predicted that too.

Aren’t I clever?!! :)

Next year Raikkonen again. Get down the bookies.

Longer note coming up next week, excited? No? Oh well ;)

Darts Update:
I’m considerably better at predicting F1 champions than I am at playing darts at the moment, I lost 2-0 again. Crap!

Summary:
Position: 4
My Result: 2-0 loss
Team Result: 4-1 loss

Totals:
My total (exc. pairs): 8 legs for, 5 against (4 wins, 2 losses)
Team total: 16 legs for, 14 against (4 wins, 2 losses)

When I win, the team do, hmmm…

Scott.
